24‑carat gold hits ₹1,54,167/10g; silver tops ₹2.35 lakh/kg
Monday’s trading session lifted India’s precious‑metal prices to new highs. The 24‑carat gold spot price surged to ₹1,54,167 per 10 grams, up ₹1,804 from the previous ₹1,52,363. The 22‑carat tier moved to ₹1,41,217 per 10 grams, while 18‑carat gold reached ₹1,15,625 per 10 grams. Silver’s price also rose, breaking the ₹2.35 lakh per kilogram barrier at ₹2,35,642, a ₹1,800 increase over the prior ₹2,33,842. In the futures market, MCX’s October 5 2026 gold contract climbed by ₹1,419 (0.92%) to ₹1,55,925 per 10 grams, and the September 4 2026 silver contract rose by ₹2,419 (1.03%) to ₹2,38,343 per kilogram. Internationally, COMEX quoted gold at $4,474 per ounce (+0.83%) and silver at $66.43 per ounce (+2.05%). Analysts point to the Federal Reserve’s upcoming meeting minutes as a potential catalyst for the next price move.
