Tata Motors has significantly enhanced its popular Nexon SUV by incorporating Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a suite of cutting-edge safety technologies. This update reinforces the Nexon’s already stellar safety reputation, holding dual 5-star ratings from both GNCAP and BNCAP (India NCAP), making it a leader in its class. The Nexon is now equipped to provide drivers with enhanced awareness and proactive safety interventions.
Alongside the ADAS integration, Tata Motors has also unveiled the exclusive Nexon Red Dark Edition. This stylish new variant is available across all three powertrain options: petrol, diesel, and CNG. The Red Dark Edition aims to blend aggressive styling with advanced safety and robust performance, offering Indian consumers a compelling package. The ex-showroom price for this special edition starts at Rs 12.44 lakh, underlining Tata’s commitment to delivering value and innovation.
The newly introduced ADAS features aim to minimize accidents and enhance the driving experience. These include Forward Collision Warning (FCW) to alert drivers of potential frontal impacts, and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) for automatic braking when a collision is imminent. Other crucial additions are Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Centering System (LCS) to maintain lane discipline, Lane Keep Assist (LKA) for gentle steering corrections, High Beam Assist (HBA) for improved night driving, and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) to keep drivers informed of road signage. These advanced features collectively bolster the Nexon’s safety credentials, further solidifying its position as a top choice for safety-conscious buyers in the Indian SUV market.
