Skoda is preparing to introduce the new Octavia RS sedan on Indian roads by November 2025. This performance sedan will be offered as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) in limited numbers. While the official price will be announced in the coming months, media reports suggest a price tag of approximately Rs 50-55 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Skoda Octavia RS boasts a powerful powertrain. This fourth-generation model is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine, generating a maximum of 265 bhp and 370 Nm of torque. This engine is also found in the Volkswagen Golf GTI. A 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox will be provided for transmission. It will feature a front-wheel drive (FWD) system and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential on the front axle.
This performance sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. The braking system includes 340 x 30 mm ventilated disc brakes at the front and 310 x 22 mm ventilated disc brakes at the rear. Unlike the global model, which comes with Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) adaptive suspension system, the India-spec variant will not have this feature.
The new Skoda Octavia RS comes with several premium features, including a 13-inch touchscreen system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and satellite navigation, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, sport seats with contrasting red stitching and carbon decor, aluminum pedals, a flat-bottom RS steering wheel, tri-zone climate control, heated front and rear seats, a panoramic sunroof (optional), and more.
In terms of safety, the Skoda Octavia RS offers multiple airbags, electronic stability control, front assist with city emergency brake, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, driver alert system, blind spot detection, and more. It has a boot space of 600 liters, which can be expanded to 1,555 liters by folding the rear seats.
Regarding the exterior, the Skoda Octavia RS features a new design grille with black detailing, sporty RS-specific front and rear bumpers, LED matrix headlamps with new crystalline elements, alloy wheels, new LED rear lights with animated indicators, a sports exhaust system, and a motion-activated tailgate.
