TVS is gearing up to launch an affordable electric scooter in India. The company recently trademarked an electric scooter called ‘Orbiter’ and is now preparing to launch the production version. The TVS Orbiter electric scooter is scheduled to launch in India on August 28th. Upon launch, it will be positioned below the TVS iQube, the brand’s most successful electric scooter. The current iQube range is available at a starting price of approximately ₹1 lakh, going up to ₹1.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The upcoming TVS Orbiter will be priced more affordably, making it the new entry-level electric scooter for the brand, with an expected price tag of under ₹1 lakh. The TVS Orbiter will compete with electric scooters like the Bajaj Chetak and Ola S1 X upon launch.
