Maruti Suzuki has introduced a new SUV in the Indian market, with its launch on September 3rd. This vehicle is designed to compete in the compact SUV segment, targeting established models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
Positioned between the Brezza and Grand Vitara (GV) within the Maruti Suzuki lineup, the new SUV has generated considerable excitement. Anticipation is high for the inclusion of innovative features.
The SUV is built on Suzuki’s Global C platform, also utilized in the Grand Vitara. Based on visual reports, it’s expected to be comparable in size to the Grand Vitara in terms of length and width. Enhancements like newly designed DRL headlamps and headlights are integrated to offer a distinctive aesthetic. Spy shots have revealed a split DRL and headlamp configuration, along with a high bonnet, promising a strong road presence.
To cater to diverse customer needs, Maruti Suzuki may offer the SUV with multiple engine options. At launch, it’s anticipated to feature the K15C 1.5-liter mild-hybrid engine, currently employed in the Grand Vitara, XL6, Brezza, and Ertiga. This engine could be tuned differently for the new SUV, potentially delivering around 101 horsepower and 137 Nm of torque.
