Hyundai is poised to revitalize its presence in the Indian market with a series of new vehicle launches and the introduction of advanced powertrain technologies. Central to this strategy is the development of an all-new 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder turbo engine in India. This engine will likely power the next-generation Creta, alongside the upcoming Palisade SUV, both of which are slated to feature hybrid powertrains. The Creta may adopt the new 1.2-liter engine, while the Palisade could be offered with a 1.6-liter diesel hybrid, a 2.5-liter engine, or potentially even a V6 option available in international markets. This new engine is designed for strong hybrid compatibility and will also be featured in the Bayon hatchback, and could also be seen in Venue and i20 models. Hyundai’s move towards hybrid technology signifies a proactive approach to meet stricter emission standards.
