Hero MotoCorp is aggressively pursuing a product strategy to boost sales, introducing several models with new updates. The Indian two-wheeler brand has recently released a teaser for a new motorcycle. The company is set to launch a new 125cc motorcycle on August 19-20, 2025, although the name has not yet been revealed. The company already has three 125cc bikes in its portfolio: Super Splendor, Glamour, and Xtreme 125R. Therefore, it is unlikely that the company will launch a completely new bike in this segment. It is expected that Hero is launching an updated version of the Glamour 125 on this date. Spy shots of the updated Hero Glamour surfaced online a few weeks ago. The most distinctive feature of this test mule was a feature that is not usually found in commuter bikes. The upcoming Hero Glamour’s test unit was equipped with cruise control, which is usually found only in selected bikes with more powerful engines. Adding cruise control to a commuter bike is a significant step for Hero MotoCorp, as it will be the first bike in the commuter segment to come with this feature. Cruise control allows the rider to fix the speed without the throttle and maintain it until the brakes are applied again. According to recent spy shots, the cruise control toggle button has been integrated below the ignition button. The left-hand switchgear is also new and has buttons for navigating through the new LCD instrument panel. This instrumentation looks similar to the unit used in the Karizma XMR 210 and Xtreme 250R. The current price of the Hero Glamour starts from ₹95,098 ex-showroom and comes in two variants, Standard and Xtec. It has a 124.7 CC air-cooled single-cylinder engine, which generates 10.3 bhp and 10.4 nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The Hero Glamour delivers a mileage of up to 65 kmpl. The updated model is also expected to have the same specifications. It is expected that the Hero Glamour with cruise control will be added to the top-spec Xtec variant. Regarding the price, it will be interesting to see what impact the addition of cruise control has on its price.
