Hero MotoCorp, a leading name in India’s two-wheeler market, is celebrating a significant achievement: 125 million units sold. The company, which originated from a collaboration between Hero and Honda with the iconic CD 100 launched in 1985, has reached this milestone after 41 years. To commemorate this accomplishment, Hero has introduced special edition versions of the Splendor+, Passion+, and Vida VX2. These special editions feature cosmetic upgrades to mark the occasion.
Hero quickly gained prominence, becoming a top-selling two-wheeler brand in India. It achieved the milestone of 1 lakh riders in 1994 and subsequently launched the popular Splendor. The brand then surpassed the 1 million unit mark and introduced the Passion series. In 2005, Hero entered the scooter segment with the Pleasure line. By 2009, it had produced close to 25 million units.
