Company Celebrates 25 Years in India, Launches Special Edition Car

The Czech Republic-based company, Skoda, is commemorating its 25th anniversary in India. As part of the celebration, the company launched a new special edition of its affordable SUV, the Kyak, on Monday. Special variants of the Kushaq and Slavia were also introduced. The Kyak's special variant is available with the Signature+ and Prestige 2 models. Cosmetic changes have been made to give it a unique appearance. Notably, only 500 individuals will have the opportunity to purchase each special variant.

The regular Kyak model is currently available in 11 variants, priced between ₹8.25 lakh and ₹13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The special variant, Signature+, is priced at ₹11.25 lakh and Prestige at ₹12.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The new special edition comes with specific design and feature enhancements compared to the standard model. This limited edition includes a free accessories kit comprising a 360-degree camera setup, puddle lamps, and 25th-anniversary badging on the B-pillar. Customers can choose from seven exterior color options for the limited-edition variant.

Key features of the Kyak special edition include a 10-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic AC, power-folding wing mirrors, dash inserts, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with chrome garnish, front USB Type-C ports, a rear center armrest, an in-car connectivity suite, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, keyless entry and start, an auto-dimming IRVM, a sunroof, 6-way powered and ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, and a wireless phone charger, among many other features.

This special edition, like the regular model, is equipped with a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine producing 115 bhp. It offers options for a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. According to the company, the manual variant can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 10.5 seconds, while the automatic variant takes 11.69 seconds. The claimed mileage is 19.68 km/liter for the manual and 19.05 km/liter for the automatic.
