Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has requested Union Food Minister Pralhad Joshi to release the state’s pending dues of over ₹9,000 crore, comprising the Rural Development Fund (RDF) and Market Fees. In a brazen display of lawlessness, five assailants stormed Paras Hospital in Patna and shot a prisoner, Chandan Mishra, who was admitted for medical treatment. The Jharkhand High Court heard a petition challenging the normalization process in the assistant professor recruitment. During the hearing, the High Court directed the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) to reserve 100 posts for para teachers and 14 posts for non-para teachers. The court further instructed the JSSC to present clear guidelines from the commission at the next hearing. The case was heard by a bench of Justice Deepak Roshan.
