Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel citing the benefits of meeting people in Jan-chaupal said it helps in knowing how administration is working across the state. “I am apprised working of all the departments and it assists me in taking action to bring them on right track”, he said.
Baghel was talking to a section of media persons here at his official residence on Wednesday during the Jan-Chaupal programme.
Stating that he meets people from, all walks of life, he said some people come with their personal problems while some other come with the grievances of their respective villages.
Talking about the Hareli festival falling on Thursday, Baghel expressed his desire to ride ‘Gedi’ during this festival and appreciated the suggestion of organising a ‘Gedi’ competition.
Regarding scanty rainfall till date, the CM said the agriculture minister and officials of the department are keeping a close eye on the rainfall and it is anticipated that with satisfactory rainfall this season agriculture work will get momentum.
