So far 71.37 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured in Chhattisgarh

In the current season of paddy procurement on support price in Chhattisgarh, 71 lakh 36 thousand 355 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased from 17 lakh 59 thousand 182 farmers in 2484 paddy procurement centers of the state till this evening. So far, about 68 percent of the estimated target of paddy procurement by the state government has been procured. In lieu of paddy purchase, Rs 13,506 crore 82 lakh has been released to the farmers under the bank linking system. On the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, along with the purchase of paddy this year, fast lifting of paddy for custom milling is also being done. 38.09 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted through DO and TO. Officials of the Food Department said that DO of 34 lakh 22 thousand metric tonnes of paddy has been issued. The millers have lifted 29 lakh 40 thousand metric paddy from the procurement centers. Similarly, for the transportation of 14 lakh 13 thousand metric tonnes of paddy, T.O. has been issued. Against which 8 lakh 69 thousand metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted from the committees. Janjgir-Champa district ranks first in the state in terms of procurement of paddy on support price till January 18. There, 6 lakh 27 thousand 199 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased. On the other hand, Rajnandgaon district ranks second in paddy procurement in the state. There, 6 lakh 21 thousand 863 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured. Today, Balodabazar-Bhatapara district is third in the state in the procurement of paddy. In Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, 4 lakh 96 thousand 481 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured. 11,905 MT in Kanker district, 2,18,529 MT, Kondagaon district 1,09,107 MT, Narayanpur district 16,567 MT, Sukma district 33,812 MT, Bilaspur district 3,78,042 MT, Gaurela-Pendra- In Marwahi district 51,884 MT, Korba district 1,18,033 MT, Mungeli district 2,96,461 MT, Raigad district 3,97,142 MT, Balod district 3,90,830 MT paddy was procured. Similarly, 4,75,536 MT in Bemetara district, 3,09,995 MT in Durg district, 3,24,414 MT in Kawardha district, 2,95,171 MT in Dhamtari district, 2,41,810 MT in Gariaband district, Mahasamund district 4,93,495, Raipur district 3,57,602 MT, Balrampur district 1,39,642 MT, Jashpur district 1,08,483 MT, Korea district 99,984 MT, Surguja district 1,69,021 MT and Surajpur district 1,92,261 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured.
