Economic activities will not be affected in the state: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel

/ Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has said that with the cooperation and care of the people of Chhattisgarh state, we will also defeat the third wave of corona infection. He has appealed to the people to strictly follow the COVID guidelines and take precautions in view of the increasing corona infection in the state. The Chief Minister has said that vaccination is necessary to protect against corona, he has urged people who have missed vaccination and adolescents of 15 to 18 years to get vaccinated compulsorily. The Chief Minister said that we will achieve the same success in the third wave as well as the Chhattisgarh State had succeeded in dealing with the last two waves of Corona with the cooperation of all sections. He said that despite the corona infection, we will continue the economic activities of the state with utmost care. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel was addressing the money transfer program of Godhan Nyay Yojana organized at his residence office today. On this occasion, the Chief Minister released an amount of Rs.5 crore 37 lakh online to cattle rearing villagers, women’s groups associated with Gauthans and Gauthan committees, out of which Rs.2 crore 78 lakh was paid in lieu of purchase of cow dung in the last fortnight and one crore to Gauthan committees. 70 lakhs and women groups a dividend amount of Rs.89 lakhs. In lieu of purchase of cow dung, Rs 119.41 crore has been paid to the cow pals of the state. So far Rs 44.43 crore has been given as dividend to Gauthan committees and Rs 28.88 crore to women self-help groups. Based on the market demand through self-help groups, the product is ready and the group gets maximum benefit from its marketing. The Chief Minister said that after starting power generation from cow dung, now we are moving towards manufacturing natural paint from cow dung. He said that in the last one and a half years, Gothan has become financially strong. The work of self-reliance through Gauthans has attracted the attention of the whole country. He talked about expediting the work of setting up of Rural Industrial Parks in Gauthan, besides training women self-help groups to prepare production according to the demand of the market. Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey thanked Chief Minister Baghel for releasing the amount to the cow pals by the Chief Minister regularly every fortnight under the Godhan Nyay Yojana. He said that Godhan Nyay Yojana is being discussed in the whole country. Many states of the country are moving towards adopting it. He said that now the day is not far when every gram panchayat of Chhattisgarh state will have Gauthan. He said that approval of 10591 Gauthans has been given, out of which 7889 Gauthans are actively functioning. With the commissioning of 100 percent Gauthans, income activities will increase. He said that about Rs.100 crore has been earned from dividend of vermicompost and other products. Describing that Vermi compost and Super compost are very useful for agriculture, he said that farmers of the state have increased inclination towards vermi compost. He said that vermi compost made in Gauthans has played an important role in meeting the shortage of chemical fertilizer DAP. He said grants under the government scheme for setting up machines like Dona Patal Machine, Paddy Kutti, Kodo-Kutki Processing Machine, herbal product preparation and oil extracting machine to be set up to promote income-oriented activities in Rural Industrial Park of Gauthan. It was also said to make provision for giving assistance. At the beginning of the program, Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. Kamalpreet Singh gave detailed information about the progress of Godhan Nyay Yojana. Special Secretary Agriculture and State Nodal Officer of Godhan Nyay Yojana, Dr. s. Bharathidasan gave a power point presentation regarding the action plan of Godhan Nyay Mission.
