Financial grant-in-aid is sanctioned by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department of Chhattisgarh Government to the victims of various natural calamities through the District Collector. Financial assistance of Rs. 20 lakh has been sanctioned in five such cases. Under the provisions of the Revenue Book Circular, Mrs. Chandkanti of village Baneya in tehsil Sitapur of Surguja district and Pramod Minj, resident of village Hardisand, died due to snake bite. Similarly, due to the death of Smt. Flora Minj of village Suijor of Farsabhar tehsil of Jashpur district, Mahabali Vishwakarma of village Ankira and Smt.
