Little Nikesh, who was suffering from hemiplegia, came to life again

Hemiplegia is a disease in which parts of the body become loose due to injury or disturbance to the brain or spinal cord. This is called paralysis in common parlance. When it occurs in children, their physical development is not able to take place properly. Five-year-old Nikesh Jain, who lives in Bhandarsivani Mohalai of Kondagaon, a remote forest area, also had a complaint of hemiplegia since birth. His left limb was partially paralyzed due to laxity. Whose effect was more on his hands than on his feet. Due to which he could not move his left hand. In such a situation, Nikesh has got a new life from physiotherapy Tumcho Duwar. Physiotherapy Tumcho Duwar was launched by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on 27 January 2021 during his stay at Kongera in Kondagaon district. Since then, people suffering from complex diseases like Paralysis, Joint pain, Arthritis, Parkinson’s are being treated by Physiotherapists from village to village. It has proved to be a boon for hundreds of people like Nikesh. Nikesh’s parents, who lived below the poverty line, were always worried about his future. It was also possible for them to get Nikesh continuous special medical facilities. Nikesh was advised to get physiotherapy done by the community health officer. In such a situation, Nikesh’s parents got information about the ‘Physiotherapy Tumcho Duvar’ vehicle coming to their village Bhandarsivni on 27 July 2021. Nikesh’s father got his health check-up done by going to the physiotherapy Tumcho Duwar vehicle. Physiotherapist Dr. Padmanath Baghel, after examining Nikesh and advising him to undergo physiotherapy, started treatment with modern method of medicine and equipment in the vehicle itself. . When the vehicle arrived in the village, Nikesh’s father used to come for treatment with Nikesh. On his advice, Nikesh’s father also got his health checkup and physiotherapy done in the district hospital. Nikesh’s hands are slowly coming to life after the physiotherapy treatment started. Nikesh’s father also keeps on taking advice from time to time through mobile. The doctor has said that gradually with the treatment, Nikesh will be able to lead a normal life with full recovery. Dr. Baghel told that he needed daily exercise at home for better treatment of Nikesh. Due to poor financial condition of the family, he was unable to buy an exercise machine. In view of this, through the Department of Physical Rehabilitation of District Hospital Dantewada, free ‘Dynamic Fake-up Split’ machine was provided to Nikesh’s hand and he was taught physiotherapy and daily exercise. Nikesh benefited from this. Earlier, where there was no movement in the hands of Nikesh, now slowly the movement has started. Nikesh is also happy to see his hands.
