Purchase of more than 22.31 lakh metric tonnes of paddy in the state

In the last 14 days of paddy procurement for Kharif marketing year 2021-22 in the state, which started from December 1, till 6.30 pm today, 22 lakh 31 thousand 136 metric tonnes of paddy were purchased from 6 lakh 33 thousand 974 farmers at support price. Is. Paddy is being procured from farmers through 2482 paddy procurement centers. After purchase, an amount of Rs 3897 crore 55 lakh has been released by Markfed to Apex Bank for payment to these farmers under bank linking arrangement. On the initiative of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, this year, along with the purchase of paddy, the offtake of paddy for custom milling is also happening at a rapid pace. So far, DO of 6 lakh 89 thousand 902 metric tonnes has been issued and 3,99,828 metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted by the millers from the procurement centers. So far, a total of 1988 millers have registered in the state. Even on the 14th day of paddy procurement, Rajnandgaon district is on the first position in the state in terms of procurement of paddy on support price. In Rajnandgaon district, 2,23,534 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured. Today, Bemetara district is second in the state in terms of paddy procurement. In Bemetara district, 1,70,757 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured. Balodabazar district ranks third in the state in paddy procurement so far. In Balodabazar district, 1,65,347 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured. According to the information received from the Food Department, in the current marketing year, 28,883 metric tonnes in Bastar district, 6,328 metric tonnes in Bijapur district, 1119 metric tonnes in Dantewada district, 71 thousand 083 metric tonnes in Kanker district, 38 in Kondagaon district on support price in the current marketing year.
