State’s Agriculture and Biotechnology, Water Resources Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey today inaugurated new paddy procurement center at village Leopard Navapara in Saja development block of Bemetara district and village Jano in Parpodi area. He congratulated and extended best wishes to the villagers and farmers on this occasion. Minister Shri Choubey said that the State Government is truly a government that takes care of farmers, laborers and weaker sections of the society. Every effort is being made by the state government for the betterment of these sections. Paddy is being procured from the farmers under the support price policy. He said that for three years, Chhattisgarh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has taken many important decisions to bring about a change in the condition of farmers and villagers. To help the farmers and villagers, along with innovative schemes like Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyay, Agriculture Landless Mazdoor Nyay, loan waiver of farmers, waiver of irrigation tax, providing electricity for irrigation to farmers at free and subsidized rates. has been He said that the Chhattisgarh government is a helpful government to the farmers and villagers. It is noteworthy that on December 1, paddy is being purchased on support price in the state. Keeping in mind the convenience of the farmers in village Leopard, a new paddy procurement center has been opened here this year. Due to this, the farmers of Leopard, Semaria and Katalbod have started getting the facility to procure paddy. 766 farmers are registered in this new procurement center, who are selling their paddy by cutting tokens as per their convenience. In the program Shri Banshi Patel, Janpad Panchayat President Saja Shri Dinesh Verma, former Jp. President Shri Omprakash Verma, Block President Shri Santosh Verma, Sarpanch Leopard Shri Hemlal Thakur, many Panchayat representatives and a large number of farmers were present.
