So far 2.36 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been purchased in the state, 77 thousand 162 farmers have sold paddy

In the last two days, 02 lakh 35 thousand 922 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased in the state at support price. In two days, 77,162 farmers have sold their paddy on support price in procurement centers. Rajnandgaon district is leading in paddy procurement in the state. In the last two days, 28,308.68 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured in Rajnandgaon district. Bemetara district is second in the state for the second day in terms of paddy procurement. In Bemetara district 19,700 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured. There is enthusiasm among the farmers to sell paddy on support price. Farmers are reaching the procurement centers to sell paddy on token basis. According to the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, senior administrative officers are constantly visiting the centers to take stock of the convenience of the farmers and the arrangement of paddy procurement in the procurement centers. According to the information received from the Food Department, in the current marketing year so far 19,653 metric tonnes have been produced in Mahasamund district, 982.72 metric tonnes in Bastar district, 249.04 metric tonnes in Bijapur district, 40.52 metric tonnes in Dantewada district, 5 thousand 174 metric tonnes in Kanker district.
