Chhattisgarh gets appreciation again at national level: Chhattisgarh will be honored for empowerment of persons with disabilities on the occasion of International Day of Disability

The work being done under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel is continuously being appreciated at the national level. In this episode, Chhattisgarh will once again be awarded the National Award for the year 2020 in three categories for the empowerment of Divyangjan. Social Welfare Minister Smt. Anila Bhendia will receive this award in a program organized by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities under the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in New Delhi on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3. Congratulating the winners of all categories for the National Award, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has also extended his best wishes for doing best work in the interest of Divyangjan. In the program, in the category of Best Braille Press, National Award will be given to Braille Press operated by Social Welfare Department in Bilaspur. It is noteworthy that under the direction of Mrs. Bhendia, Braille Press Bilaspur has prepared the ballot paper for the election along with preparing text material, literature for the visually impaired. Along with this, Brul Press is providing online library facility to the visually impaired, which has helped the students a lot during the Corona period. In the category of local body, Naya Raipur, Atal Municipal Development Authority will be awarded the National Award for outstanding work in creating barrier free environment for persons with disabilities. Also Best Employer for Self Employed with Divyangjan and in the category of Placement Officer/Agency for Private or Non-Government Organization or Office, Nook Tea Cafe Ventures LLP, Samta Colony, Raipur will be awarded National Award as Best Employer.
