Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has extended greetings and best wishes to the people of the state, especially the people of the Sikh community, on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti. Shri Baghel, in his congratulatory message issued on the eve of Guru Nanak Jayanti, has said that every year on the day of Kartik Purnima, the birth anniversary of the founder of Sikhism and the first Guru Nanak Dev ji is celebrated with gaiety as Prakash Parv. A unique example of mutual brotherhood is seen across the country on this day with the creation of spiritual atmosphere through Guruvani, Ardas, Kirtan, Langar, religious rituals and service in Gurudwaras. The Chief Minister said that Guru Nanak ji is remembered all over the world for sharing the knowledge of communal unity, truth, peace and harmony. He devoted his whole life in removing the evils prevalent in the society. Guru Nanak’s teachings are relevant even today, and inspire people to live life with love, unity, equality and brotherhood.
