Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel will make online payment of a total of Rs.10 crore 81 lakh to cattle rearers, dung vendors, Gauthan committees and women self-help groups under Godhan Nyay Yojana on November 01. In this amount, 5 crore 9 lakh rupees are given to cattle rearers dung vendors, 3 crore 56 lakhs to Gauthan committees and Rs 2 crore 16 lakhs as dividend to self-help groups in lieu of purchase of cow dung. It is worth mentioning that under Godhan Nyay Yojana, cow dung is being procured regularly in two forts in Gauthans. 104 crore 41 lakh has been paid to the dung vendors in lieu of the dung purchased till 30 September 2021. Similarly, Rs 24 crore 98 lakh has been paid to self-help groups as dividend and Rs 37 crore 90 lakh to Gauthan Samitis. Tomorrow on November 01, Rs 10 crore 81 lakh will be paid. With this, the total amount of 54.76 lakh quintal cow dung purchased so far will be Rs 109 crore 50 lakh and the amount of dividend to Gauthan committees and self-help groups will be Rs 68 crore 64 lakh. So far, approval has been given for the construction of 10 thousand 538 Gauthans, out of which 7714 Gauthans are built and are actively operated. 01 lakh 85 thousand 320 cattle farmers are getting benefited from the active cowsheds. Vermi compost, super compost and other products are being manufactured from cow dung purchased in Gauthans. 8.98 lakh quintal vermi compost and 4.04 lakh quintal super compost have been produced in Gauthan as on 31 October.
