It is worth mentioning that in the last two and a half years, many works have been done by the state government for the improvement of health services in the rural areas of the state, but still the availability of specialist doctors in small district headquarters and block headquarters remains a challenge. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has given instructions for expansion and strengthening of health infrastructure from capital to rural areas to deal with the changing nature of corona pandemic and to provide best health services to the people of the state.
The Chief Minister has said that for the expansion of health infrastructure, it is necessary to take the help of private sector along with increase in facilities in all government hospitals, especially in rural areas. He has said that various types of grants are given for the establishment of industries in the state. This grant is also given to the service sector industries. At present, there is no provision to provide any incentive for the establishment of private sector hospitals by the Health Department. Therefore, to strengthen the health infrastructure, grants will be given to encourage the private sector to set up hospitals in rural areas. For this, the Industries Department has been asked to submit an action plan in 10 days.
