The Deputy Director of Social Welfare Department has told that like every year, International Drug Prevention Day will be celebrated on 26th June this year. Drug de-addiction programs will be broadcast on this day through radio and Doordarshan. Appropriate action will be taken against drug addiction with the coordinated efforts of all the departments in the district. By having direct communication with the people who consume drugs, they will be informed about the ill-effects of intoxication. Along with this, drug de-addiction literature will be distributed. Wide publicity will be done through motivational, slogans, pictures in social media. In order to create awareness against intoxication among the students, programs will be organized following the instructions issued for prevention and control of infection of Kovid-19 in colleges and schools.
