Raipur resident Ayushi Satkar, aged 28, was pronounced dead at the scene, while 16 injured pilgrims received immediate medical attention. Four with severe wounds were airlifted to Raipur hospitals.
Khallari Temple, located 25 km south of Mahasamund on a rugged hillside, is a magnet for believers, especially during Chaitra and Kuwar Navratri.
