As West Bengal braces for polls, BJP parliamentarian Manan Kumar Mishra has called out Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her escalating rhetoric. Banerjee had alleged an ‘undeclared emergency’ and President’s Rule-like scenarios in the state, prompting Mishra’s fiery rebuttal.
Speaking to media, Mishra linked Banerjee’s outbursts to her realization of anti-incumbency. ‘Elections are approaching, and her nervousness is palpable as voters turn away from TMC,’ he said. The public, weary of governance failures, is poised to reject the ruling party, he predicted.
He accused the TMC regime of sabotaging Union government initiatives for public good, only feigning concern for the underprivileged come poll time. ‘Bengal’s citizens see through this charade and will deliver a verdict against TMC,’ Mishra emphasized.
On RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s comments regarding potential Indian involvement in the Middle East strife involving Israel, the US, and Iran, Mishra was optimistic. ‘Our neutral diplomacy positions India uniquely to mediate, leveraging excellent relations with all parties. PM Modi could broker peace in this power struggle,’ he opined.
Supporting ABVP’s push against Jinnah’s inclusion in Jammu University’s curriculum, Mishra stressed national integrity. ‘It’s unjust to feature someone responsible for India’s division in educational material about J&K, an inseparable part of the nation. This demand merits swift implementation.’
