A refreshing spell of rain has enveloped Delhi-NCR, maintaining its grip for the third consecutive day. According to IMD, expect overcast skies, intermittent light-to-moderate showers, and winds gusting up to 50 kmph today.
Temperatures have plummeted: highs near 25°C and lows at 13°C. Cloudy mornings gave way to drizzles in various parts of the region, providing a break from recent warmth.
Rainfall could occur in waves across morning, noon, evening, and night, often with thunder. Safety first – IMD warns of hazardous winds, advising people to steer clear of open spaces.
The biggest win? Air quality rebound. CPCB monitors indicate green zone dominance: Ali Pur (91), Aya Nagar (90), Commonwealth (96). Moderate yellow levels at Anand Vihar (178), Bawana (122), Chandni Chowk (116).
Noida areas like Sector-125 (111), Sector-62 (103), Sector-1 (150) and Sector-116 (117) are satisfactory to moderate. Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram (146), Loni (173), Sanjay Nagar (126), Vasundhara (142) also improved.
Burari bucks the trend at 366 (severe), but overall, pollution levels have nosedived due to nature’s wash.
Weekly outlook: Showers possible March 20; partly cloudy 21-22; sunny and warmer (up to 33°C) from 23-25. Experts hail the rain-wind combo for scrubbing the skies clean, though lightning risks persist – stay indoors when storms brew.
