Noida’s law enforcement struck gold Thursday, shattering a vehicle theft syndicate in Sector-140. Sector-142 police, acting on secret inputs, launched a surveillance drive that netted Vishal Tiwari and Farid, two hardened offenders.
The duo’s possession of a motorcycle pilfered from Delhi’s Jafrabad precinct was the first red flag. Escalating the bust, Tiwari carried an unlicensed revolver loaded with a 315 bore round, and Farid hid a sharp illegal blade. Swift arrests followed, with FIRs slapped under appropriate laws.
Digging deeper, Tiwari boasts a rap sheet from Ghaziabad’s Vijayanagar station for similar heists and more. Farid’s name echoes in Jafrabad records. This crew specialized in reconnoitering desolate areas, snatching bikes, and flipping them on the black market.
Police are grilling the pair for leads on associates and additional crimes. In a public call, officers emphasize secure parking and immediate reporting of odd behavior, aiming to deter future thefts through heightened awareness.
