In a resounding affirmation of progress, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha told the assembly on Wednesday that his BJP-led administration is delivering on promises of efficient governance, robust development, and schemes that touch every citizen’s life.
During the budget session, which kicked off on March 13 and runs through March 25, Saha thanked Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu for a speech that painted a vivid picture of accomplishments, active initiatives, and ambitious future goals.
The governor’s address, Saha said, embodies PM Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047, a blueprint Tripura is fully embracing. No state can lag if India is to rise, he stressed.
Economically, Tripura is outpacing the nation with a growth rate of 10-11% against the country’s 7.4%. Post-2018, unified societal support has fueled this momentum.
Education reforms shine brightly: literacy has climbed to 95.6% from 87.75% in 2011, securing third place in UNICEF’s full literacy rankings for India.
Infrastructure push includes new degree colleges at Ambassa, Kakaraban, and Karbuk, plus elevating Agartala Women’s College to a full university to empower female students.
Dismissing opposition motions as under-researched, Saha called for positive input rather than negativity.
Tripura, he concluded, remains laser-focused on governance excellence, economic surge, and welfare for all, contributing robustly to India’s growth story.
