In a show of unwavering party solidarity, BJP national president Nitin Nabin received a rousing airport welcome in New Delhi on Tuesday, fresh from his Rajya Sabha election triumph. Greeting him were Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, and prominent MPs Manoj Tiwari and Bansuri Swaraj. Supporters filled the air with jubilant chants, celebrating the leader’s milestone.
MP Manoj Tiwari praised the feat, pointing to BJP’s domination in Bihar by clinching all five seats. Rumors of trouble on the fifth had proven baseless as legislators stood firm. ‘This is Nabin’s debut in Delhi as a Rajya Sabha member, and we made sure to roll out the red carpet,’ Tiwari said.
Swaraj joined the chorus, attributing the win to public faith in PM Modi’s policies. She quipped about Rahul Gandhi’s strained ties with his base, adding a political edge to the festivities.
Earlier, Nabin had lauded the NDA’s sweep, thanking workers across the board. He vowed to channel Bihar’s issues to the national stage from his new perch. ‘Our cohesion shines through, foreshadowing victories in the battles ahead across five states,’ he noted, setting an optimistic tone for the party’s future.
