In a high-stakes review in Lucknow, UP Minister Rakesh Sachan on Monday cracked the whip on departmental heads. Demanding full throttle on budget spending before the fiscal year wraps up, he insisted on wrapping up all lingering projects without further ado.
The session at Kaiserbagh’s Export Bhawan dissected FY 2025-26 spending patterns, scheme advancements, and project bottlenecks. ‘Laxity has no place here,’ Sachan warned, setting a firm tone for performance-driven execution.
Teams updated that remaining funds are being deployed at breakneck speed to avoid lapses. Spotlight fell on the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana, equipping artisans— from carpenters to cobblers—with skills training and cutting-edge tools. Speedier distribution was ordered to reach wider artisan communities.
Other flagships like Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana and ODOP came under scrutiny. Youth schemes have disbursed loans and subsidies to kickstart ventures, while ODOP funding has empowered local producers across districts.
Industrial hubs, cluster developments, and Unity Malls need urgent acceleration, Sachan directed. These infrastructure boosts promise a surge in manufacturing and job creation. Aligning with CM Yogi’s vision, the government prioritizes MSME growth to unlock youth potential.
Ongoing oversight and a six-month roadmap for completions were mandated. As Uttar Pradesh races towards economic powerhouse status, such proactive governance ensures schemes deliver tangible results for the state’s ambitious development agenda.
