In a fiery address, Delhi’s Chief Minister Rekha Gupta labeled LPG cylinder hoarding and black marketing as acts against the nation, promising severe repercussions for offenders. The warning was delivered during a media interaction on Sunday, as the city grapples with supply shortages.
Gupta urged unity in times of crisis, slamming panic-mongers and profiteers. “The center is on the job, and situation will normalize swiftly. Strictest action awaits corrupt elements,” she declared.
Earlier, at the 12th annual function and 25th anniversary of ‘Apna Ghar Ashram’, Gupta lauded the NGO’s decades-long dedication to the forsaken. Operating over 70 centers nationwide and expanding globally, it embodies Antyodaya – uplifting the last in line.
“From shelterless elders to distressed women, Apna Ghar offers comprehensive care, proving what government and community can achieve together,” she noted. Her X post extended congratulations, aligning the initiative with Delhi’s welfare drive to ensure no one is left without support and safety.
As hoarding threatens household essentials, Gupta’s dual focus on crisis management and social service highlights proactive governance, blending enforcement with empathy for the underprivileged.
