Babul, implicated in grave offenses registered at Mahindwara thana, had dodged authorities by relocating to the national capital. Bihar Police’s special team arrived in Delhi and partnered with local experts after getting a lead on his whereabouts on March 12.
The mission was orchestrated by DGP Harsh Indoura, with ACP Bhagwati Prasad overseeing and Inspector Pawan Kumar heading the ground team. Key contributions came from Head Constables Amit, Jitendra, and Manish, who utilized advanced surveillance tools.
Despite a fruitless day of combing the area on March 12, Jitendra activated confidential sources, sharing detailed intel on the suspect. By dawn on March 13, precise coordinates emerged, leading to a swift raid and arrest.
Hailing from Bihar’s Punarawada village, the 12th-pass Babul turned to crime post-2022, influenced by local gangs. He had been fugutive for months, frequently shifting locations. Bihar Police now probes potential accomplices.
