The third round of the DP World PGTI Indorama Ventures Open Golf Championship 2026 at Kalhar Blues & Greens Golf Club in Ahmedabad delivered edge-of-your-seat action. Saptak Talwar and Dhruv Sheoran emerged as co-leaders, both reaching eight-under par 208 after 54 holes.
Talwar’s bogey-free 69 (after 68-71) propelled him up three rungs, underlining his resurgence. Sheoran, with a consistent 70 on the day (69-69-70), gained one spot, proving his mettle in competitive play. The duo’s shared score sets up an intense showdown.
Manu Gandas fired a brilliant 67—the day’s best alongside Aryaman Aditya Mohan—rocketing 11 positions to solo third at seven-under 209. Mohan, Prasad (69), and Sordet (71) share fourth at six-under 210, keeping pressure on the leaders.
Saptak Talwar, last season’s PGTI champ from Greater Noida, turned heads with birdies on holes 4, 8, and 12 from impressive distances. His disciplined approach minimized errors, limiting bogeys to just three total.
Reflecting on his form, Talwar noted, “I’ve been giving myself birdie looks consistently. Putting was off today, but avoiding mistakes has kept me in contention. The tee shots are key here, and I’ve nailed them so far.”
Gurugram’s Dhruv Sheoran, boasting three PGTI titles, countered with four birdies and two bogeys. One stroke back entering the round, he drained crucial 10-15 footers amid rising winds. His recent ’72 the League’ triumph has him battle-ready.
“Staying patient and playing the conditions was crucial,” Sheoran shared. “I kept the ball low in the wind and adapted well. The league’s team battles honed my skills for pressure situations. Can’t wait for tomorrow.”
As the tournament nears its climax, fans anticipate a fierce battle among India’s golf elite, with wind and course challenges testing every swing.
