Hajipur, Bihar witnessed a shocking road mishap where a young man died after a ferocious pack of street dogs chased his motorcycle. The 25-year-old victim, Sachin Kumar from Khopi village, breathed his last in Vastu Bihar Phase-1 around 11 PM. Captured on nearby CCTV, the footage reveals the chaos that led to this heartbreaking loss.
Driving through the residential lane, Sachin encountered dogs pursuing a car ahead. As his bike approached, the animals turned their attention to him, barking and lunging aggressively. Panicking, he swerved sharply, crashing into the car and skidding across the road. Despite immediate response, he was declared dead at the scene.
Relatives, informed via a call from Kolkata, rushed to the hospital in grief. Pintu Kumar Singh, the deceased’s uncle, expressed doubts over the incident’s narrative, urging unbiased inquiry. Another relative, Shyam Sundar Singh, highlighted that Sachin was with friends, puzzling how he alone suffered the fatal outcome amid the group.
Police chief Arvind Paswan of Industrial Thana stated preliminary evidence supports the dog chase theory. They scrutinized CCTV tapes, sent the body for autopsy, and are piecing together witness accounts. This case underscores the growing stray menace in urban fringes, prompting calls for better animal control.
