The colorful extravaganza of Holi has taken over Madhya Pradesh, turning streets and official residences into playgrounds of joy. Despite the traditional Holika Dahan on Monday evening, a celestial lunar eclipse on Tuesday postponed the Rangwali Holi to Wednesday, heightening the anticipation statewide.
At Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s official bungalow in Bhopal, the event was a spectacle of elegance. Cabinet colleagues, senior BJP figures, and bureaucrats converged to play Holi with flowers, grooving to infectious rhythms and exchanging gulal in a display of camaraderie.
‘May Holi bring progress to Madhya Pradesh and happiness to every household,’ proclaimed the Chief Minister, as petals rained down in a poetic floral shower. The scene, alive with music and synchronized dances, captured the essence of unity and festivity.
In a parallel celebration, opposition stalwart Umang Singhar reveled with his followers, invoking blessings for joy, wealth, serenity, familial bonds, and enduring goodwill in every home.
From urban centers to rural villages, Holi squads patrol with buckets of colors, ensuring no one escapes the fun. The state’s landscape resonates with Holi melodies, thumping beats, and clouds of abeer, fostering a profound sense of communal bliss that defines this timeless festival.
