In a bold crossover, veteran cricket umpire Anil Chaudhary has made his acting debut in the explosive Haryanvi music video ‘Goli To Chale Gi’. Released to instant acclaim, the track blends gritty gangster vibes with high-octane drama, positioning Chaudhary as a natural in front of the lens.
Suman Guha, who evolved from fashion design to directing, helmed the project, with Naresh Jha producing under the Epic Films banner. Diamond’s vocals elevate the song, while its cinematic production values – complete with stylish shots and intense action – make it a standout. Joining Chaudhary are co-stars Rohit Kharab, Chandni Raut, and Hamesh Dixit, each adding depth to the narrative.
Reflecting on his debut, Chaudhary exuded poise. ‘There’s unique joy in both umpiring and acting,’ he noted. ‘My Haryanvi commentary experience eased me into it. Suman’s direction was spot-on, and the shoot was pure fun. Thanks to Naresh for believing in me.’ His umpire-honed instincts shone through in authentic, effortless scenes.
The Mumbai launch bash was a celebrity magnet, featuring Gurmeet Choudhary, Rajneesh Duggal, and others who toasted Chaudhary’s venture. Duggal praised Guha’s consistent creativity, having worked together before. Choudhary lauded the team’s efforts: ‘The song and video are fantastic. Best wishes to Anil and kudos to Naresh.’
Looking ahead, Guha revealed two more innovative songs in the pipeline. Jha outlined Epic Films’ strategy: one fresh release monthly to captivate viewers. Chaudhary’s debut proves boundaries between sports and entertainment are blurring, promising more surprises from this multifaceted talent.
