Delhi’s Janakpuri police station etched a success story by collaring three thieves responsible for a Rs 1.15 crore heist from a Pasangipur envelope store and adjoining home. This recovery not only returns valuables to victims but also disrupts local criminal networks.
On the night of February 21, 2026, burglars struck Ashok Envelope Store and the owner’s multi-floor residence. Discovering the breach the next morning at 11:15 AM, the family reported broken stairwell walls, scattered goods, and pilfered treasures including hefty gold, diamonds, silver, and cash sums.
A crack team, led by Inspector Kuldeep Kumar Tiwari and featuring SIs Manoj and Ashish, Head Constables Ramanivas, Ankit, Vikrant, Ramkishan, and Constables Dhara and Vikram, swung into action. Blending tech tools with informant leads, they apprehended two aides near a local park before zeroing in on ringleader Divyansh Sharma alias Babboo.
Interrogations revealed the trio’s plot, guiding recoveries of gold jewelry totaling 650g, 3kg silver articles, over Rs 7 lakhs cash, plus sundry items and the getaway bike. The total bounty, pegged at Rs 1.15 crore, underscores the precision of the investigation.
FIR under BNS 331(4)/305/317(2)/61(2) stands resolved, though background checks on the duo continue. Authorities vow deeper scrutiny to dismantle any broader syndicate, offering reassurance to jittery residents in high-crime zones.
