On his 50th birthday, Manoj Muntashir turned the spotlight on live theater with roaring success. The premiere of ‘Krishna-Radha to Rannbhoomi,’ a play he wrote and helmed, saw back-to-back sold-out performances attended by 4,000 fervent fans. Thunderous ovations filled the venues, etching a golden chapter in Mumbai’s theater annals.
Posting a heartfelt note on Instagram, Muntashir reflected on the divine timing. ‘Housefull crowds and nowhere for extra seats—this is unprecedented,’ he wrote, overwhelmed by the birthday blessings in the form of audience emotions and cheers. It was the perfect culmination to half a century of creativity.
Success, he insisted, belonged to his powerhouse team. Kicking off thanks to big brother Ashok Pandit, whose faith ignited the project, and Saregama chief Vikram Mehra for making dreams real. Neelam Muntashir, his lifelong pillar—girlfriend, spouse, confidante, and director—never let him falter.
Tributes poured for the backstage maestros: Puneet J Pathak’s visionary sets, the acting flair of Veer Kanabar, Nidhi Verma, Virat Bhardwaj, and Kunwar Anshit’s enchanting scores. Ambrish Kapadia’s costumes added magic, backed by steadfast friends Ravi Lalpuria and Dr. Gautam Bhansali. The cast, including Mohit Bajpayee, Shubham Gupta, Rohit Singh, Dhruv Vaishnav, and Tapsya Shukla, formed the beating heart.
Addressing admirers directly, Muntashir confessed, ‘Without your love overlooking my flaws, I’d be nothing.’ This triumph underscores theater’s enduring pull, with Muntashir poised to captivate more with his narrative genius.
