The acquittal of Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia by Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court in a high-profile CBI corruption case has ignited a fresh wave of political sparring. Samajwadi Party parliamentarian from Azamgarh, Dharmendra Yadav, seized the moment on Friday to lambast the BJP-led central government for weaponizing institutions against rivals.
Labeling the episode as proof of governmental overreach, Yadav stated, “This judgment lays bare the atrocities inflicted on opposition voices by those in power. The persecution of AAP leaders demands a public apology from the government.”
Expanding his critique, he referenced the ongoing probe into Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand, slamming UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s public remarks. “Investigative bodies seem to dance to selective tunes. When the CM himself vilifies a saint in the legislative house, expect biased reports from officials eager to please. Shankaracharya ji is eternally revered in Sanatan Dharma’s hierarchy—no true follower will abide violations of his honor. Our support is unwavering.”
On a constructive note, Yadav highlighted his development initiatives in Azamgarh. “Since becoming MP, I’ve prioritized solving grassroots problems without seeking publicity,” he explained. “Minister meetings stay private unless concrete progress—like letters of approval—is achieved, which I then share transparently with constituents.”
Specific wins included advocacy for a CSD canteen, confirmed by Rajnath Singh’s response, and ring road advancements following Nitin Gadkari’s input. “Duty fulfilled—now the people of Azamgarh assess delivery,” he remarked. “Boasts are cheap; track records speak. The socialist legacy in Azamgarh’s progress is undeniable.”
With this outspoken response, Yadav positions SP as a bulwark against perceived authoritarianism, potentially rallying opposition forces in the heartland.
