In a bold escalation, Pakistan has vowed open warfare against Afghanistan amid cross-border strikes. But according to Free Balochistan Movement’s Moula Bakhsh Baloch, speaking from Finland, Islamabad has shot itself in the foot, handing control to Kabul.
‘The arrow is out; only Afghanistan can call for truce now, not a terror-sponsoring Pakistan,’ Baloch told IANS in an exclusive interview. He ripped into Pakistan’s strategy, claiming it’s a ploy to secure funds by feigning victimhood. ‘A big country like Pakistan lacks money and acts like beggars for aid, while actually fueling terrorism.’
Baloch decried the targeting of innocents. ‘Why attack civilians, kids, and women? No faith approves this. Pakistan’s military spreads lies by killing civilians, but they are the real terrorists.’ He slammed Ramadan assaults as un-Islamic, predicting backlash. ‘They aim to impress bosses, but Afghanistan’s resolve for its people will hurt Pakistan badly.’
Probing deeper, Baloch labeled Pakistan a ‘terrorist nation’ exporting violence to Balochistan, Afghanistan, and India. ‘Their dirty minds drive these acts. The world needs to intervene; Baloch are deeply worried.’
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif’s war rhetoric shifts dynamics. ‘Ball’s in Afghanistan’s court now,’ Baloch said. ‘They decide: peace or payback? It’s their last chance to settle the Durand Line, which we Baloch also reject.’ This 19th-century British demarcation divides Pashtun lands, rejected by every Afghan government, sparking perennial border skirmishes.
This standoff highlights enduring border disputes and terror accusations, with potential for wider conflict as Afghanistan weighs its response.
