In a strongly worded statement, BJP veteran Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has condemned the violent unrest at JNU, dismissing it as an orchestrated effort to derail the country’s positive momentum. Speaking to the press on Friday, Naqvi reflected on his roots in student movements: ‘We emerged from campus protests, faced jail time for our causes, but always grounded our actions in truth and reason.’
He lambasted the current JNU protests for their absence of substance. ‘Protests without facts or boundaries serve no purpose—they’re just chaos aimed at poisoning public sentiment,’ Naqvi said. Such tactics, he warned, cross a red line and demand unequivocal rejection.
On the NCERT syllabus row, the leader highlighted judicial oversight and governmental reforms. ‘The Supreme Court has taken note, and the government is acting swiftly. Let’s not exaggerate this further,’ he advised.
Naqvi reserved his harshest words for Congress, portraying it as a party out of touch with electoral reality. ‘Unable to digest the mandate, they’ve gone rogue against democratic norms,’ he charged. Instead of introspection, Congress allegedly fans misinformation on domestic and global fronts to incite panic among citizens—a dangerous game that erodes trust in institutions.
As political rhetoric heats up, Naqvi’s defense of principled protest offers a timely reminder of activism’s true spirit amid today’s polarized debates.
