In a move blending spirituality and showbiz, Telugu star Adivi Sesh offered prayers at Warangal’s revered Bhadrakali Temple, invoking blessings for his ambitious pan-India release ‘Dacoit’. Starring opposite Mrunal Thakur, the film delves into the psyche of a rage-fueled outlaw seeking retribution after a lover’s deceit, delivering edge-of-the-seat action and soul-stirring drama.
Sesh, who has been hands-on with the screenplay, opened up about the film’s significance. ‘This project feels personal; it’s more than just a role,’ he said post-prayers, as the promotional blitz officially launched.
The first major reveal came with ‘Rubaru’, a soulful romantic number picturized on Sesh and Thakur. Composed by Bhims Cesirio, penned by Riteish Rajwade, and voiced by Fahim Abdullah and Chinmayi Sripada, it unveils the tender vulnerabilities amid the film’s turbulent love story.
Expressing excitement, Sesh noted, ‘Rubaru beautifully portrays the quiet depths of our characters’ connection. We’re thrilled to share this with audiences ahead of the April theatrical release.’ Helmed by director Shenil Dev, with production credits to Supriya Yarlagadda and co-producer Sunil Narang, ‘Dacoit’ boasts a stellar lineup including Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, Jahn Mary Khan, Kamakshi Bhaskar, and Anurag Kashyap.
This temple visit underscores Sesh’s unwavering belief in the film’s potential to captivate hearts and storm the box office, marking a promising chapter in his career.
