In a crime that has horrified Bihar’s Vaishali district, a brother-in-law has been accused of sexually assaulting his minor sister-in-law during a visit to her home. The incident unfolded in Lalganj, sending shockwaves through the local community and prompting immediate police intervention.
The accused, Vishnu Ram from Muzaffarpur’s Maniyari village, was staying at his in-laws when he allegedly committed the unthinkable against the neighborhood girl considered his sali by relation. Word of the depraved act spread rapidly, inciting villagers to converge and demand the culprit’s head.
Police acted with urgency. Station House Officer Manmohan Kumar led a team to detain Vishnu Ram without delay. The young victim, visibly shaken, received compassionate handling from women officers who transported her for urgent medical checks at the district hospital.
Senior officer Sadar-2 SDPO Gopal Mandal arrived on site with FSL experts, who scoured the area for crucial forensic clues. ‘We are leaving no stone unturned to ensure ironclad evidence reaches the court,’ Mandal stated, vowing rigorous action post medical and lab reports. The family has been promised impartial justice.
Such violations of sacred family bonds highlight urgent needs for vigilance and stricter safeguards for minors in close-knit rural settings. The case progresses as authorities prepare to prosecute with full force.
