In a bid to strengthen its organizational backbone, Maharashtra BJP president Ravindra Chavhan rolled out the party’s refreshed state executive on February 24 from Mumbai. The comprehensive announcement covers key positions, injecting new vigor into the state’s political machinery.
Eleven seasoned leaders now serve as state vice presidents: Atul Kasekar, Bharti Pawar, Sanjay Kodge, Sanjay Bhende, Ramdas Tadas, Keshav Upadhyay, Praveen Pote, Gopichand Padalkar, Chetan Deshmukh, Sujay Vikhe Patil, and Archana Chakorkar. This diverse group is set to spearhead district-level initiatives and membership drives.
Administrative efficiency takes center stage with six new state general secretaries: Niranjan Dawkhare, Yogesh Sagar, Sanjay Kute, Madhvi Naik, Rajesh Pandey, and Sunil Rane. They will oversee logistics, training programs, and alliance management.
The state secretaries roster features 10 appointees including Prashant Thakur, Mangesh Chavhan, Parinay Fukke, Varsha Dahale, Sanjay Jagtap, Rohini Naidu, Ram Satpute, Praveen Ghuge, Rekha Kulkarni, and Bhairavi Wagh, focusing on youth mobilization and women’s wing activities.
Mihir Kotecha steps in as state treasurer, with Lakhan as joint treasurer to manage funds for campaigns and events. Navanath Ban’s elevation to chief spokesperson underscores the party’s emphasis on robust media strategy and rapid response to political developments.
Analysts believe this restructuring will propel BJP’s agenda in Maharashtra, fostering unity and agility. As the state gears up for electoral battles, the new team promises heightened activism from the ground up.
Chavhan also took to X to wish BJP MP Udayanraje Bhosale, the royal descendant from Satara, on his birthday. The post prayed for divine blessings, good health, and success in his journey of public service.
