In a fiery exchange amid Bihar’s political heat, Deputy CM Vijay Sinha on Monday dismissed RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav’s jabs at the state’s development as shortsighted and disingenuous. Speaking to the press in Patna, Sinha painted a picture of a Bihar buzzing with comprehensive growth projects, from roads to rural electrification, which Yadav seems oblivious to.
‘It’s tragic that while development surrounds us, the opposition remains in denial,’ Sinha said, urging Yadav to step out of his comfort zone in the national capital or overseas trips and witness the change firsthand. He emphasized the need for direct public interaction to grasp the government’s seriousness on accelerating progress.
Addressing law and order allegations, Sinha flipped the script: ‘If things are so bad, lead the charge for improvement. We’re cracking down hard on offenders to ensure justice prevails.’ He lamented Yadav’s lack of initiative in this critical area.
Defending the liquor ban, Sinha outlined amendments shifting focus to bootleggers and reiterated its permanence. ‘Opposition calls it a failure but offers no solutions—just venomous politics,’ he charged, calling for constructive opposition rather than obstruction.
Sinha didn’t hold back on the opposition leadership’s conduct, accusing them of juvenile behavior that tarnishes their roles. With Bihar’s development trajectory firm, such criticisms ring hollow against the backdrop of tangible achievements benefiting millions.
