Bangkok’s Terdthai Cricket Ground witnessed a thrilling finale as India’s rising women’s stars captured the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 crown, defeating Bangladesh by 46 runs on February 22. After electing to bat, India recovered from a precarious 44 for 4 to reach 134 for 7, thanks to a heroic stand from Tejal Hasabnis and skipper Radha Yadav.
Early setbacks saw Vrinda Dinesh depart for 19, while Nandin Kasyap, Anushka Sharma (both 8), and Minu Mani (0) fell cheaply. The tide turned with Hasabnis and Yadav adding 69 runs for the fifth wicket. Yadav’s aggressive 36 off 30 balls ended at 113, paving the way for Hasabnis’ unbeaten 51 from 34 deliveries, laced with two maximums and three fours.
Fahima Khatun was Bangladesh’s standout bowler, snaring 4 wickets for 25 runs. In reply, Bangladesh’s chase faltered badly, folding for 88 in 19.1 overs. Key contributions came from keeper Shamima Sultana (20), Sarmins Sultana (18), and captain Fahima (14), but the rest struggled against India’s attack.
Prema Rawat spearheaded the bowling with three scalps, matched by the duo of Sonia Mendhia and Tanuja Kanwar with two each. Sayma Thokar and Minu Mani picked up one wicket apiece. This victory underscores India’s dominance in emerging women’s cricket, with Hasabnis emerging as the tournament’s star performer.
