Acting on precise intel about inflammatory social media campaigns and handler contacts, police swooped down on three locations: two from Uthukuli, three from Palladam, and one from Tirumuruganpoondi. The haul included multiple phones and SIMs used to propagate terror content and maintain covert links.
These infiltrators hid their identities using forged documents to infiltrate the garment sector. Their activities extended to scouting key urban areas and affixing provocative ‘Free Kashmir’ posters in the national capital. Forensic teams are dissecting digital footprints to map connections to larger syndicates.
With two prior arrests from West Bengal, the tally stands at eight. Transferred to Delhi, the suspects face rigorous questioning that could unravel further threads of this international conspiracy. This underscores the persistent danger of foreign-sponsored extremism within India’s borders.
