In a blistering critique, BJP’s vocal spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla tore into Congress after its youth wing’s unruly demonstration at the prestigious AI Summit in Pune. Describing the party as having gone from shirtless to utterly brainless, Poonawalla laid bare what he sees as a deep-seated culture of lies and anti-nationalism.
Rahul Gandhi bore the brunt of his criticism. ‘He’s the champion of hatred and falsehoods, lying about Rafale, Savarkar, and now RSS, only to face court summons and judicial rebukes,’ Poonawalla remarked. This, he said, transforms Gandhi into a mere propaganda machine, eroding his credibility with every courtroom appearance.
Poonawalla didn’t spare Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, accusing the Gandhi siblings of harboring contempt for Assam and the Northeast. The refusal to accept a Gamosa from the President and a recent viral clip of Priyanka allegedly discarding the sacred cloth exemplify their cultural insensitivity, he charged, framing it as a direct affront to regional pride.
The Youth Congress’s shirtless protest at the AI Summit was the tipping point. ‘What started as shirtless antics has morphed into characterless, shameless chaos,’ Poonawalla fumed. He slammed party elders for endorsing the disruption—aimed at derailing a key national tech event—and glorifying it with references to freedom fighters. ‘This isn’t Indian National Congress; it’s Anti-National Congress defending Rahul’s puppets,’ he declared.
As Congress doubles down on support, Poonawalla warned of the party’s slide into irrelevance, calling for accountability in an era where national summits demand respect, not sabotage.
