With CBSE board exams underway from February 17 to April 10, Delhi Metro has launched priority services for Class 10 and 12 students to ease their commute. Millions of teenagers will rely on the metro network, and DMRC wants to eliminate travel stress.
Key perks include swift security clearance upon showing admit cards, courtesy of CISF-DMRC teamwork at stations. Ticket buying gets expedited too—skip the lines at vending machines or help desks. Audio alerts will keep students informed on the go.
The exams’ enormity is staggering: 25 lakh Class 10 candidates at over 8,000 centers, and 18.5 lakh for Class 12. CBSE stresses punctuality—gates shut at 10 AM for the 10:30 AM start, ending at 1:30 PM.
Breaking it down, Class 10 has 14 lakh boys and 10.9 lakh girls; Class 12 features 10.2 lakh boys and 8.3 lakh girls. This proactive metro support not only aids focus on studies but also promotes efficient public transport use during peak exam season, benefiting the entire commuter ecosystem.
