Chhattisgarh Congress chief Deepak Baij unleashed a barrage of criticism against the state BJP government, branding it a destroyer of the state’s economy. During a press briefing in Raipur, he mocked the controversial move to permit liquor sales on Holi, suggesting authorities go further by operating outlets round-the-clock.
Financial mismanagement is at the heart of Baij’s tirade. “Loans haven’t helped, power bills are up, land prices inflated, traders harassed—yet the coffers remain empty,” he pointed out. “After jacking up booze prices, festival openings are the next low. Better to run shops non-stop for steady income.”
Shifting gears, Baij praised Congress’s robust Assam election strategy, with Priyanka Gandhi’s relentless campaigning fueling anti-incumbency against two-term BJP rule. “They’re luring women with bribes, echoing Bihar tactics,” he claimed, predicting a wave of change.
On the AI Summit fiasco, Baij lambasted PM Modi for eroding national pride by showcasing foreign tech as homegrown. “Galgotias University and the PM are in cahoots, embarrassing India on the global stage,” he asserted.
Baij wrapped up with excitement over Rahul Gandhi and Kharge’s post-Holi tour. “Preparations are underway for spectacular events highlighting BJP’s MGNREGA lapses and state woes. Congress cadres are buzzing with enthusiasm.”
